A Message from the Founder

As a Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®), I understand that a move later in life is often about much more than real estate. Seniors and their families may suddenly need help with care, housing, legal and financial matters, downsizing, and other important decisions—and it isn’t always easy to know where to turn or who to trust.

That is why I created Seniors Resource Group.

I wanted to build a network of experienced professionals I could confidently refer to my own clients and their families. SRG members bring a great deal of knowledge and expertise to their respective fields, a history of serving their clients well, and, equally important to me, genuine compassion and care for the seniors and families they serve.

My connection to seniors is deeply personal. My mother, Evelynne Gemmell, lived with Alzheimer’s, giving me a personal understanding of some of the challenges families face as a loved one’s needs change. My father, Leonard Austin Gemmell, was a wonderful singer whose love of Sinatra and the great songs of his generation inspired the music I now enjoy singing in senior communities.

Both of my parents helped shape my compassion for seniors and the work I do today. My efforts through SRG are dedicated to them.

SRG is about bringing together professionals we know and trust so that when a senior or family needs help, they have somewhere to turn.

That is what “Your Connection to Trusted Senior Resources” means to me. It means giving seniors and their families one trusted place to turn, where they can find knowledgeable, caring professionals—even when they’re not sure what they need.
